Submissions

Submissions are the starting point of our business verification process. Each submission represents an initial business verification request and tracks the application process for a potential customer.

A submission in our API:

Initiates the business verification process

Contains essential business details (legal name, tax ID, contact information, etc.)

Manages associated document uploads

Tracks the progress of the business verification through various statuses (pending, processing, approved, rejected, etc.)

Can be modified as needed during the verification process

Submissions provide a structured method for collecting, processing, and verifying business information during the application phase. Once a submission is approved, it can be converted into a registered business for ongoing monitoring.

The endpoints below allow you to create, retrieve, update, and process submissions throughout the initial verification workflow.

Submission statuses

Status	Description
pending	Submission has been created and is waiting for business information and documents to be added.
processing	Information and documents have all been added. Niva is a performing the full business verification.
needs_review	Submission has been flagged for manual review.
pending_rfi	Additional information is required from the business to complete verification.
approved	Business passed verificaiton checks and is approved.
rejected	Business did not pass verification checks and is rejected.
